Precipitation has not shown a clear trend in recent decades in NE Iberian Peninsula (González‐Hidalgo, López‐Bustins, Štepánek, Martín‐Vide, & Luisa, 2009 ; del Río, Herrero, Fraile, & Penas, 2011 ), but air temperature is rising (Vicente‐Serrano et al., 2014 ) and, particularly, the Montseny massif has experienced an increase of around 0.3°C per decade in the second half of the 20th century (Peñuelas & Boada, 2003 ).
