When we compared the total number of mutations in the wild-type strains with the ∆ku70 strains for each species, we found only a clear trend in the intergenic mutations (23 in the wild type vs 29 in the ∆ku70 , 2 vs 10 and 22 vs 29 in A. flavus , A. fumigatus and A. nidulans , respectively).
