Although the moderating effect of perceived behavioural control did not reach statistical significance ( p = .06) in relation to perceived parental warmth and romantic attachment avoidance, the results did reveal that the lower the level of behavioural control, the stronger the negative relationship between warmth and avoidance (β = .23, p < .001; β = .18, p < .001; β = .14 p < .001, respectively).
