Before analysis, both the alkali lignin raw material and the degraded solid product were acetylated to improve the solubility and reduce association and aggregation. The molecular mass of the lignin degradation products showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing with increasing temperature and time ( Figures 5 and 6 ).
