Dogs with a lesion at T11‐12, T12‐13, or T13‐L1 (“prehypogastric” segments) were 2 times (CI = 0.99, 7.66) more likely to develop FI compared to dogs with lesions at L1‐L2, L2‐L3 or L3‐L4 (“hypogastric” segments); however, this variable did not reach statistical significance ( P = .051).
