The majority of dominant taxa such as Proteobacteria (especially Beta - and Gamma-proteobacteria ), Bacteroidetes , Gemmatimonadetes , and Firmicutes show higher relative abundance in soils with lower carbon or nitrogen contents, while abundance of Actinobacteria shows a negative trend ( Burns et al., 2015 ).
