Bonferroni’s post hoc analysis, however, showed a strong trend but no significant effect of alcohol in reducing the number of new-born immature neurons as compared to the alcohol naïve controls (ns: p = 0.0684) and pindolol had no effect in this group (ns: p = 0.1076).
