However, a higher proportion of patients in the AH-CAM group had more severe grades of hepatic encephalopathy (grade 3/4) at presentation (22.2%, n = 6/27) when compared to patients with classical AH (13.7%, n = 4/29) but the difference did not reach statistical significance.
