Additional data indicate that gene expression of Cox2, the rate-limiting enzyme upstream of mPGES-1, showed a trend towards an increase in EGCs incubated with supernatant of colon adenocarcinomas as compared to EGCs incubated with supernatant of healthy mucosa, although this was not significant (Supplementary Fig. 7a).
