A comparison of the 2 types of intervention showed no differences in the mean score between the 2 groups for pain at rest at T 7 (P = 0.93) and at T 28 (P = 0.58), but that comparison showed significant mean score reductions for pain at defecation in the RBL group during the first week (T 0-7 ; P = 0.004) and a marginally significant reduction for the RBL+MPFF group (P = 0.07).
