All of the average chemical shifts of the atoms of the different nucleobases were referenced to the average chemical shift of the helical region and a clear trend can be observed for several carbon atoms in different structural elements (Figure 10 A). 35 Also for the 1 H‐DQ chemical shifts of the amino groups a chemical‐shift‐to‐structure relation was conducted. 45 Similarly, as for carbon chemical shifts, a mean value was calculated for all nucleotides involved in Watson–Crick interactions.
