Equine recurrent uveitis horses have an activated CD4 + blood T‐cell phenotype CD4 + T‐cells from ERU horses expressed significantly higher levels of IFNγ ( P = .01, Figure 1 A) than control horses, and showed a trend toward expressing lower levels of IL‐10 ( P = .07, Figure 1 B), indicative of a shift toward a Th1 activation phenotype.
