The number of hilar EB‐positive cells from the rostral tip to 1,200 μm caudal was slightly increased in rats given Ang II compared with vehicle, although this did not reach statistical significance (583.3 ± 417.4 in vehicle vs. 923.4 ± 137.4 in Ang II, unpaired t test, p = .14) (Figure 3 ).
