A Bland–Altman plot shows the average of two measures on the x-axis and their difference on the y-axis; it allows the evaluation of both biases—that which occurs when the average of the differences between the two paired measurements is significantly different from 0 and the so-called proportional bias that refers to a significant trend between the difference and the magnitude of the measurements, i.e., when the difference in values increases or decreases in proportion to the average values.
