Studies reporting global analyses of all patients with a history of bronchiolitis, irrespective of the causative agent, reveal a prevalence of recurrent wheezing that ranges from 75% in the first 2 years of life, 47%–59% between the ages of 2 and 4, and 25%–43% between 4 and 6 years, 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 showing a clear trend to diminish with age.
