On the one hand, competition issues pertaining to the sale of hush-kits and other equipment calculated to reduce aircraft engine noise to levels prescribed by ICAO are quite significant from the perspective of international trade, and on the other hand, environmental issues that have been addressed by the ICAO Council through CAEP and also by the Assembly should also be given careful consideration.
