Discussion This study has demonstrated the potential benefit of tapering duodenoplasty in patients with congenital duodenal obstruction and associated megaduodenum. Although the study was underpowered to detect statistical significance, the data showed a trend toward earlier achievement of full enteral nutrition and a decreased proportion of patients requiring a reoperation for duodenal dilation.
