A strong trend in the differences in the microbiome between life stages can be observed in Fig. 3 , moving counter-clockwise from the samples representing larval stages S1 and S2, along the vertical axis towards larval stage S3, and the pre-pupa and pupa stage, which were clustered very closely together.
