While there is evidence showing that strength training has none or increasing effects on arterial stiffness (Miyachi, 2013 ), we found some evidence on the dimorphic associations according to gender between strength training groups in PWV showing that women who resistance trained had stiffer arteries than those who did not trained while opposite was observed in men, although these differences did not reach statistical significance.
