Most notably, men who consumed two snacks per day tended (p = 0.01) to be at lower risk of elevated WC than men who did not consume any snacks (i.e., 0 snacks per day), when a snack was defined by the participant and contributed more than 50 kcal; however, this difference did not reach statistical significance, and this association was not observed with increased risk of OW/OB or elevated SAD.
