In the subgroup of cirrhotic patients, 51 Cr-EDTA excretion showed a trend towards increase with the worsening of liver function and an inverse correlation with markers of portal hypertension [Child class: A 2.77% (2.1–7.82), B 3.84% (2.52–5.91), C 4.78% (3.11–6.21), p = 0.80; correlation with MELD score 0.237, p = 0.17; correlation with PLT count -0.232, p = 0.18].
