Discussion Our comparison of the two techniques of dietary data collection over the time period in the same study population demonstrated that there was a highly significant difference in the estimation of dietary diversity and seasonal dietary composition of fruit, leaf, pith, flowers, and non-plant items using observational scans and macroscopic fecal inspection.
