Results from sex-stratified analysis showed that the positive association of advanced maternal age at delivery with risk of allergic rhinitis was statistically significant in female offspring (AOR = 7.02, 95% CI: 1.89–26.14), but only marginally significant in male counterpart (AOR = 2.90, 95% CI: 0.85–9.86) ( Table 4 ).
