Subgroup analysis showed that fibrinolytic therapy reduced 35-day mortality among patients with ST elevation in the anterior leads or “other” leads but failed to reach statistical significance among patients with ST elevation in the inferior leads (11% proportional reduction; 95% CI − 24% to + 5%; p = 0.08) [ 13 ].
