In the KEYNOTE-240 trial, although pembrolizumab in a second-line setting after prior sorafenib therapy improved OS (HR, 0.78; 95% CI, 0.61–1.00; one-sided p = 0.024) and PFS (HR, 0.72; 95% CI, 0.57–0.90; one-sided p = 0.002) compared to placebo, the outcomes did not reach statistical significance per specified criteria [ 18 ].
