Although phenolics were not assessed past week 16 due to an emphasis on one infection at a time, by week sixteen a clear trend was observed whereby cell wall compounds such as hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives (HCAs) appeared to increase in all grapevines studied, regardless of genotype or infection status.
