This analysis also depicted research trends of AI-related health research: (1) the growth rate of health care–related AI publications has grown rapidly in the past decade and the rate showed a trend of continuous growth; (2) high-income countries are the main force of health care–related AI research; (3) most AI research was focused on chronic diseases, particularly on cancer; (4) machine learning and neural networks are the most commonly used AI techniques in classification, diagnosis, and prediction; and (5) the research domains of nucleosides, convolutional neural networks, and tumor markers are currently research hotspots of health care–related AI research.
