By comparing the number of shared psADEs in the different sets of populations to their genomic differentiation, we found a negative trend between the two (with a strong negative exponential slope estimate), illustrated by a significant correlation between nonlinear fitted and empirical values (0.87, p ‐value 5.6 × 10 −30 , Figure 3d ).
