As expected, the absorbed energy in the Izod tests ( Figure 5 e) followed a decreasing trend as the Al loading in the sample increased, although the energies absorbed by the AR-Al5 and AR-Al10 composites kept within the confidence interval of the values obtained for the pristine resin.
