We have observed a clear trend between the number of halogen atoms and corresponding increased cytotoxicity, however while compound 50 demonstrated the same antimicrobial activity profile to Peptoid 1 it was less cytotoxic with IC 50 146.9 μg/mL versus only 35.0 μg/mL for the latter.
