In the more detailed time course of growth rates (Figure A1 ), it became evident that all populations showed a trend of recovery from 21°C as growth rates increased between day 8 and day 15 (Figure A1 ), which was significant only for Quiberon (RM ANOVA; Table A1 ; Bonferroni test, p < .001) and Spitsbergen (RM ANOVA; Table A1 ; Bonferroni test, p < .01).
