For women diagnosed prior to 1990, the percentage irradiated was identical in left‐sided and right‐sided breast cancer for all ages at cancer diagnosis combined (49.14%) and when women aged <60 and 60+ years were considered separately the percentage differences in this <1990 group were also small and did not reach statistical significance.
