No patients required vascular intervention for lower limb arterial stenosis in both the groups ( p = 1.000), however, 3 patients in the low-risk group and 1 patient in the high-risk group with bilateral ≥70% carotid lesion required carotid endarterectomy (CEA); this did not reach statistical significance ( p = 0.315) (Table 3 ).
