One problem with internet interventions, however, is that adherence can be poor and early dropout rates can be quite significant. van Ballegooijen et al.’s ( 2014 ) meta-analysis of adherence to iCBT interventions concluded that 65.1% of those starting supported iCBT completed 100% of the treatment and that adherence and clinical effect were similar between supported iCBT and face-to-face therapies.
