Though any correlation could be detected between bone mineralization, in terms of T -scores, and the serum tryptase levels, the number of vertebral fractures showed a trend towards a positive correlation with the serum tryptase levels in osteoporotic patients with hypertryptasemia suggestive for SM (serum tryptase levels > 11.4 ng/ml; r = 0.239 and P = 0.054).
