Pad2 –/– significantly reduced CLP-induced permeability in lung and kidney, and it showed a trend toward the decreased permeability in spleen and liver ( Figure 4A ), suggesting that KO of the Pad2 gene could ameliorate sepsis-induced organ dysfunction by reducing microvascular permeability.
