Of the 119 areas of RV-responsive chromatin in the controls but not in the cases at q < 0.05, 75 showed some evidence of RV response in the same direction in cases and controls (the log fold changes corresponding to response were both positive or both negative in the cases and controls); 41 of the 75 chromatin responses were nominally significant at an unadjusted p values <0.05 in the cases.
