Due to the small numbers of events, the subgroup analyses considering weight gain was limited but suggested a CVD risk benefit in diabetic participants regardless of weight gain qualitatively similar to non-diabetic subjects; however, this did not reach statistical significance, possibly due to limited study power [ 44 ].
