The results obtained outline an important trend suggesting that, in general, population structure in the area under investigation was shaped by two contrasting phenomena: on one side population continuity, that characterized both the earlier and the later phases and, on the other, change such as the one detected during the Middle Horizon in consequence of the rise and expansion of the Tiwanaku.
