As shown in Figure 3(a) , there is a clear trend of decreasing neuronal SIRT1 levels in CA1, CA3, and DG regions of the hippocampus in the sevoflurane+surgery group compared with the control group, and resveratrol pretreatment blocked the sevoflurane and surgery-induced changes in neuronal SIRT1 levels ( F = 9.025, P = 0.0073; F = 9.867, P = 0.0054; F = 8.661, P = 0.0084, Figures 3(b) – 3(d) ).
