The calculated free 25(OH)D levels had a prominent positive correlation with the measured free 25(OH)D levels in the control group ( r = 0.88, p < 0.05), while in the diabetes group, there was only a tendency towards a moderate positive correlation, which did not reach statistical significance ( r = 0.41, p > 0.05) ( Figure 1 ).
