Accordingly, we expected to find a significantly diminished OTM rate; however, despite the lower mean rate of OTM in the amitriptyline group, it did not reach statistical significance and therefore, our findings could not clarify the anti-inflammatory effects of amitriptyline, keeping in mind that we did not determine the level of inflammatory factors.
