The gap in urban resilience showed a trend of “increasing first and decreasing later”, and the gap at the end was larger than that at the early stages, which indicated that a spatial “Matthew effect” was formed during the development of urban resilience in Liaoning Province in the early stage, but the “trickle-down effect” was more prominent in the later stage.
