Improvement in those with poor overall CVH was associated with lower risk of mortality from diseases of the circulatory system (HR, 0.73; 95% CI, 0.61–0.89) and other causes (HR, 0.79; 95% CI, 0.67–0.94), but the association with cancer mortality did not reach statistical significance (HR, 0.87; 95% CI, 0.72–1.04).
