The relationships between symptom occurrence and participants’ BMI levels or ordered age categories (18–24, 25–34, 35–44, 45–54, 55–64, or 65+ years) were very weak and did not reach statistical significance in the Spearman’s correlation analyses (BMI – r S = .101, N = 204, p = .151; Age – r S = .038 N = 205, p = .593).
