Although the analysis of patients with bacteremia did not reach statistical significance, because of the small number of patients in this study, early appropriate antimicrobial therapy for those patients seems to be important as we observed marked differences in operation times, estimated blood loss, open conversion rate, and postoperative hospitalization duration according to the bacteremia status.
