Neoadjuvant chemotherapy, even in patients with stage 1 pancreatic adenocarcinoma, was found to confer a significant advantage for overall survival compared with upfront surgery alone (HR: 0.784, P = 0.002) and showed a trend toward improved survival when compared to post-operative chemotherapy[ 41 ].
