Clinical outcome of the patients with basaloid squamous cell carcinoma (5-year disease-specific survival, 48%) tended to be worse than those with poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma (5-year disease-specific survival, 66%), but the difference did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.132).
