Patients with PJI presented a lower Shannon index at FU (mean = 3.0 ± 0.6) compared to EOT (mean = 3.2 ± 0.4) and B (mean = 3.6 ± 0.6), even if it did not reach statistical significance probably because of the small sample size ( Figure 2C ).
