In a study of Dubois et al [ 78 ], mean SWE value for patients without significant fibrosis (≤ F1) was 15.90 ± 9.2 kPa vs 19.27 ± 7.7 kPa for patients with fibrosis and did not reach statistical significance ( P = 0.185). 2D-SWE values were higher in patients with cirrhosis when compared with those without, but there was also no significant difference (24.5 ± 7.3 kPa vs 16.0 ± 9 kPa, P = 0.119).
